(More customer reviews)Great concept but the product construction doesn't function as intended for very long. After going through the microwave a couple of times, it refuses to stay extended in height and just slips back down the the minimum height.

Yes, this can be probably be rigged to stay up permanently but the flexibility of having it adjust is not real. A redesign of the product with perhaps something to more firmly snap in and effectively support the extended height and still be able to snap back to single height is required.

10-ounces to the brim is an exaggeration, they will hold about half a cup in real life.

Norpro Stainless Steel Sprayer Mister Review

(More customer reviews)This unit is pressurized by pumping the lid up and down, around 10 strokes will create a good bit of pressure, but that sprays just long enough to almost coat a baking dish for me. Has to be refilled after just a few uses. Mine sort of spits the oil unevenly too. You are supposed to release all the pressure between uses.The whole top unscrews for cleaning, but due to the nature of oil aging and the difficulty of dissolving it, I doubt if I will be able to clean the plastic partswell enough for it to last very long.

(More customer reviews)Finally, an ice cream scoop that gets the ice cream out of its container AND then out of the scoop into the dish. Sounds like a no-brainer, right? Should be -- but this is the first scoop design I've ever used that managed both with equal ease. Most of the old-fashioned ones had a release mechanism that got the ice cream into the dish pretty well, but needed tons of hot water and the strength of 10 men and a boy to get the goodie out of its native container. More recent versions have made the container-to-scoop process less of a herculean task, but need the assistance of finger or other appendage to make it the rest of the way to the bowl.
This delightful object has solved both problems. In addition, it's a God-send for baking cookies. I operate a virtual cookie factory every Christmas and have tried many techniques to speed the dough-to-baking pan transfer. Last year, I saw this scoop and its smaller (2 teaspoon) sibling at a kitchen supply place and purchased both. I was able to bang through all my drop cookies in record time -- hurrah!
Whether ice cream or cookie baking is your passion, I can't think of a better way to spend 10 bucks!
