In other words, it should have a perfectly flat bottom and not be too tall to fit in the ovens.Since having the Aga installed several years ago, I had to replace the pots that didn't fit or work properly on the big flat plates that serve as burners..All Sitram pots have athick flat bottom which works perfectly on my stove. Since most of them are made for commercial use, they are extremely sturdy and come in many useful sizes.When I realized that one of my stockpots was too tall for my ovens, i got this pot, and it's perfect, since it's wide and low. This is a great pot for large batches of stew, soup, or stock. It cleans up nicely by hand or in the dishwasher, and a little stainless steel cleaner takes away any stains that do develop.My only (small) complaint is that the lids have to be purchased separately.As you may have guessed, I own several Sitram pots and pans and like them all.They're not expensive, either.
