(More customer reviews)I'm so glad I bought this steamer! It's a smidge less romantic than a bamboo tower, but as Alton Brown suggested, a stainless steel one would be longer-lasting, have less original bamboo flavor, and would not soak up flavors from the foods like bamboo steamers; so, after a lot of research and searching, I chose this one.At very first I wasn't sure I liked it because the stainless levels seemed flimsy to me, but that's just because they are very light (which quickly I very much appreciated because it makes the whole unit not too heavy!) -- and I found this steamer to be of high-quality material, design, and construction.I'm EXTREMELY happy with this purchase... it has plenty of room (depth and width -- I bought the big one) for even corn-on-the-cob, and I can easily steam several different veggies at the same time, without mixing them or having to pile them up. I'M LOVIN' IT!
UPDATE: Several months later -- I'm even happier now than when I wrote my original review -- this steamer has become my favorite cooking piece... I will have it forever! It's high-quality and still beautiful.I couldn't be happier.
